Chugai Ventures is looking to invest in preclinical companies in the areas of Digital Technologies, Platform Technologies and Therapeutics in Chugai’s core areas of research.

• Digital Technologies include applications to accelerate Drug Discover and Drug Development. At this time clinical and patient centric investments are out of scope.
• Platform Technologies include any platforms that can find or develop drugs across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Indications of Interest include: Oncology, Immunology, CNS, Ophthalmology, and Rare Diseases.
• Chugai ventures will not invest in devices or diagnostics.

Typical investment size is mid-single million US dollar with reserves for follow on investments. Chugai Ventures will initially focus investments in the United States, Western Europe and Japan.
